Volunteers of America of Greater New Orleans has been "touching lives, building community" since the 1890s, when we started helping indigent women and children. Today, we extend a hand up to children, families, seniors and persons with disabilities through a wide array of helping programs in 16 parishes in south Louisiana. Since Hurricane Katrina, Volunteers of America has energized new initiatives to rebuild and help survivors recover. As part of a leading national nonprofit charity, Volunteers of America has a rich history and a promising future in south Louisiana.
